SPECIALIZED COURSEWORK AND TRAINING:

 

·   Architectural/Residential: Learned the basic requirements in designing multiple types of structures. Designed a house in full details; floor plans, elevation views, structural plans, cabinetry details, and foundation details.

 

·   Architectural Drafting: Applied AutoCAD and Revit to create construction documents to further increase knowledge of designing structures from a different perspective.

 

·   Architectural Drafting Commercial: Learned how to utilize Revit to commercial applications. Prepping for the real world and working in an architectural environment.

 

·   Structural Drafting:  Used Revit Structure program to develop multiple drawings using the different structure materials. Learned the difference of materials used in different origins and weather. Also the material and practice which are required in the City of Austin and the State of Texas.

 

·   Mechanical Drafting: Used Inventor 2012 to create drawings for all details used to assemble

machine parts applying ANSI Y14.5-2009 dimensioning and including GDT.  Applied revision management to parts lists.

 

·   Civil Drafting:  By using the program Google Earth, learned how to locate the property for the major project. Utilizing Civil 3D to perform a series of steps to analyze the property for preparation and designing. Final step of implementing Illustrator to prepare the project for presentation.

 

·   Topographical Drafting:  Utilizing Google Earth to choose property which will be created and design to specifications. The project insures repetition of previously used programs such as Civil 3D.

 

·   Technical Illustration & Animation: Drawing and creating an object in Civil 3D. Designing the final project to process rendering through 3DS Max and animation for presentation.

 

·   Geographic Information Systems: used Google Earth to locate the county in the state of Texas which was used for the semester project. Prepared the map for different request from the county office. The office wanted to track the largest populated cities, park areas and concept plans. ArcView10 (GIS) is the program utilized in completing this project.
